Star Wars traceroute
A route to beagle.net that turned an ordinary network diagnostic into a space opera.
Traceroute normally exposes the routers on a path. This example made the route itself part of the performance, with hostnames that tell a familiar story.
It is a useful reminder that DNS names can be a user interface, not only infrastructure metadata.
